Murky words

Take a look at these examples from two Web forums. Both of the answers are unclear. Why?

Example 1:

Question: i have a problem with my boss.there's rumors going around that he said somethings about me.now i want to say something but he's the type of person that will fire you if he doesn't like you. so how should i go about this without getting fired?

Answer: OK IVE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION B4 WHAT U NEED IS TO BOXES OF HEAVY DUTY SERAN WRAP A WATER HOSE AND A FREEZING COLD BLIZZARD LOL OK COMPLETELY WRAP HIS CAR IN THE SERAN WRAP I MEAN EVERY PART OF IT THEN SPRAY IT DOWN WITH THE WATER HOSE AND LET THE COLD WEATHER DO THE REST HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE A CAB HOME FOR WEEKS LOL THATS MY ADVICE ANYWAYS LOL

Example 2:

Question: [My computer] was working fine at this point. I had been wanting to put some RAM into that particular machine, so I turned it off, opened the case, and put in two 512MB sticks. Then the strangest thing happened: when I plugged it back in, I turned it on and the lights came on, but nothing happened with the display. I tried tightening the video cable, but that did nothing. I tried testing the video card by putting it into another computer, and now that computer is also down. What's going on here? Does this have something to do with putting in that extra RAM? Did I damage the motherboard somehow? Or did the video cards decide to quit?

Answer: have u pulled the ram out and test to make shure its not the ram causeing boot issues i know someone he put a network card into a pci slot it didint boot he put it into a different slot it booted......

Now take a look at this excert from from the New York Times:

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - R. Craig Hogan, a former university professor who heads an online school for business writing here, received an anguished e-mail message recently from a prospective student.

"i need help," said the message, which was devoid of punctuation. "i am writing a essay on writing i work for this company and my boss want me to help improve the workers writing skills can yall help me with some information thank you".

Hundreds of inquiries from managers and executives seeking to improve their own or their workers' writing pop into Dr. Hogan's computer in-basket each month, he says, describing a number that has surged as e-mail has replaced the phone for much workplace communication. Millions of employees must write more frequently on the job than previously. And many are making a hash of it.

"E-mail is a party to which English teachers have not been invited," Dr. Hogan said. "It has companies tearing their hair out."

A recent survey of 120 American corporations reached a similar conclusion. The study, by the National Commission on Writing, a panel established by the College Board, concluded that a third of employees in the nation's blue-chip companies wrote poorly and that businesses were spending as much as $3.1 billion annually on remedial training.
The problem shows up not only in e-mail but also in reports and other texts, the commission said.
